Corrupted Gods (Second Age)

Corrupted Gods

Corrupted Gods
(Second Age)

Lowly gods of beastly face with hearts forever stained
bear eastern trek from Eden’s realm,
betrayed by knowledge gained.
Befallen in their countenance,
carnal in their mind,
they stagger blind in foolish search
of that which lies behind.

Mournful spirits trapped within bewail their distant King,
as reigning flesh leads souls enchained
from all which God could bring.
Softly do the voices cry,
dimly are they heard,
their mournful Word ignored by some…
the hearts of others stirred.

Soulful calls from Sons of God unto his Lordly name
waft gently from the primal earth
beyond their fallen shame.
Spirits touch His holy realm
till flesh begets again,
whence wombs of carnal maidens fill
with seed of Godly men.

Rising then, a fallen brute of opposites combined,
of ageless soul and carnal death
at war within it’s mind,
whence Godly spirit slaved within
by dying flesh without
begets a madness borne of sin,
till comes a Godly doubt.

Tears of God fall gently from divinely mournful skies.
Fountains low bespeak His wrath
as judgment comes to rise.
Lest soul be damned to sinful flesh
send judgment from on high,
let flesh be drowned in righteous wrath
till end of days be nigh.

Mists of Eden (First Age)

Mist of Eden
(First Age)

There stirs a frightened, primal beast,
whence ages first began,
whence Breath of God came first released
to stir the hearts of man.
Came Godly soul to earthy flesh
that something new be known,
whence both be blended into one
but neither overthrown.
Through Eden’s mists to soulless flesh,
came life to conquer death,
that flesh be freed it’s mortal chains
by God’s eternal breath.

There stands a man on Eden’s ground,
his innocence anew,
his flesh and soul as sprouted seed
from which his spirit grew.
A Godly voice
though still and small,
sounds loud a higher call.
But comes a doubt
from flesh without,
with choice to rise or fall.

There wanders lost a bitter man
bereft the Godly voice,
now driven east of Eden’s mists
now carnal in his choice.
Befallen low from heights beyond
what any man could tell,
he stands alone as one who knew
the distance which we fell.
But through his seed the Godly Breath
gives birth to Holy Word
till flesh of God be sacrificed,
whence grace of Christ be stirred.

Conversation Between Flesh and Spirit

Be silent my flesh,
be humble and meek.
Give heed to your nature and know you are weak.
Enshrouding the spirit you seek to contain,
bear caution my flesh,
you struggle in vain.

Be wary my spirit,
be never deceived.
Your power in battle is wrongly perceived.
Your trappings of strength are but weakness concealed,
be prideful my spirit,
your sin is revealed.

Be still all my children,
and know I am Lord.
The battle is mine and the Word is my Sword.
Exalt in the triumph I give unto you,
be rested my children,
your hearts are made new.

The Serpent and the Savior

The Serpent and the Savior

The serpent’s cold unblinking gaze doth pierce her thoughts within
through pupils moist as morning dew,
yet innocent of sin.
Yet clean in calm contentedness,
yet free from self’s desire,
till writhes around the woman’s heart
the promise of a liar…

“Though Eden’s realm be truly filled, yet wanton is your life.
Seek not the peace of grateful heart
but fill yourself with strife.
See not the goodness roundabout,
but let yourselves rebel
beyond perceptions blessed by God
that you be gods as well.

Delude thyself till ends of time in ways which you believe.
Let dark perspectives chain your soul,
that ever may you grieve.
Be cursed throughout eternity
to struggle in your plight.
Be thus condemned with all your seed
to live without His light.”

The Savior’s warm and cleansing Word comes down to fallen men.
From cosmic realm to hardened heart,
He calls us back again.
By gift of tortured sacrifice,
to break the serpent’s grip,
through Holy Blood on human heart
the coils start to slip…

“Though primal sin hath tore your soul, think not yourselves condemned.
For by the gift I offer you
may spirits start to mend.
Your countenance shall yet again
be lifted to the height
which ancients knew before they felt
the serpent’s poison bite.

Come out of her my people now, return yourselves to me.
I walk the path of blood alone
to lead the captives free.
I give myself as sacrifice
against mortality,
that men may touch the face of God
throughout eternity.

The Baptist

The Baptist

A seeming madness freshly stirred.
His heart becomes inflamed,
his finger aimed
his voice untamed,
he roars the Holy Word .

Bereft the face of normalcy
he dwells beyond society
but aims his message back within,
at ruling king and Pharisee.

Deranged and ragged to the eye
But pure beneath the skin
A dancing girl would take his head,
in payment for her sin.

Luke 3:1-6

Faith

Faith

Eternal spark,
embedded deep
in mortal flesh and bone.
Since ages dark
‘neath clouds of time,
it’s power ever known.

The inner touch of Living God
which turns our path astray,
from Self within,
from carnal sin,
faith bids us look away.

Faith calls us to our sense of Spirit
beyond what mortal eyes perceive.
Past fleshy bonds of carnal senses,
to that which only hearts believe.

Faith casts it’s shadow over time.
It clears the path of history,
to chart the course which men will climb
enroute to greater destiny.

With faith in heart we reach beyond
the chains of mortal strife
to touch the Holy face of God,
where lies eternal life.

The evidence of things unseen,
the substance of our living trust.
Faith imbues the space between
the God we seek and earthly dust.
